چکیده

Air pollution caused by particulate matter (PM) is a current problem in many cities. With the introduction of strict emission limits and electric cars, lower particle production expected future. However, there are sources particles that cannot be easily influenced. These include resuspension, where deposited on surfaces re-enter air, causing multiple times. Resuspension can account for up to 18% total emissions some cases. The present paper focuses use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools describe flow street canyon resuspension wind occurs. Based calculated flow, model applied see occurs how far travel. shear stresses character field boundary layer evaluated. Different building configurations parameters tested using simple 2D model. makes it possible which parts occur. It shows leave only from conditions suitable resuspension. then enter mainstream. most stay canyon, cause pollute air repeatedly. This effect have severe impact human health. dispersion urban environment results may useful cities clean streets, as clear areas will benefit cleaning.

Cfd-based Modelling of Bubble-particle Collision Efficiency with Mobile Bubble Surface in a Turbulent Environment

Flotation modelling to date appears to have concentrated either on macroscale processes or on ideal microscale processes – there has been no attempt to integrate detailed models at different scales. In this paper, bubble-particle collision efficiency with mobile bubble surfaces in a turbulent flow is investigated from a multiscale modelling viewpoint and a general methodology for modelling of t...

Studies on Particle Resuspension

Particle deposits on indoor surfaces can be as complex and diverse as the indoor environments in which they exist. Dust loading can range over several orders of magnitude, suggesting the existence of different types of particle deposits. These deposits can be broadly classified as either a monolayer, in which particles are sparsely deposited on a surface, or a multilayer, in which particles are...

Cfd Modelling of Buoyancy-driven Natural Ventilation Opposed by Wind

This paper presents CFD simulations of natural displacement ventilation airflows in which the buoyancy force produced by a heat source is opposed by a wind force. Cases investigated focus on windbuoyancy force relationships for which a two-layer stratification is maintained. CFD predictions of the position of the interface separating the two layers and the change in reduced gravity (temperature...

CFD Wake Modelling with a BEM Wind Turbine Sub-Model

Modelling of wind farms using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) resolving the flow field around each wind turbine’s blades on a moving computational grid is still too costly and time consuming in terms of computational capacity and effort. One strategy is to use sub-models for the wind turbines, and sub-grid models for turbulence production and dissipation to model the turbulent viscosity accu...
